An accomplished performer, Camelia began her diverse training at the age of three. She studied and performed ballet, contemporary and various Latin dances. Camelia received her essential Bellydance training from Instructor Mayada Hesham and continued studying with master instructor Yasmina Ramzy. Camelia has been trained in various Middle Eastern dance styles and has been influenced by an array of legendary dance artists: Badia Star, Raqia Hassan, Robert Desrosiers, Sashar Zarif, Ferda Bayazit, Kranti and Luna of Cairo. Camelia has performed with a variety of ensembles in both Latin and Middle Eastern dance such as Tropicaliente, Deusas Do Samba, Mirage, Cairo Ala Nar and Banat El Sharq before joining Arabesque Dance Company and Orchestra in 2011. Camelia performed in company productions JAMRA (2012), and as a lead dancer in SAWAH (2014). She also appeared at the International Bellydance Conference of Canada on the main stage in 2010 and the Gala stage in 2012. Camelia currently works as a Bellydance and Belly-Samba fusion dance instructor while performing with ensembles Ya Amar and Al lala and as a soloist throughout the GTA.
